Cam Install

Do i have to take my oil pan out to do a cam install ?

no just drop the front of it

Loosen up all of the bolts on the pan then drop the front as mentioned earlier. The reason to drop the front of the pan is to remove the timing cover.

Exactly as stated previously. I removed most of the front pan bolts and then adjusted the others accordingly to create a slight nose down angle on the pan. You will need to carefully work your way around the gasket to make sure it releases and be extra carful around the front of the pan at the timing cover. I had to run a small flat blade screwdriver along the timing cover slot to release the gasket.
