Broken new opti

I ordered an opti in 2006 from Jason Cromer and just now opened it to replace my current opti which has 106k miles on it (Have a high rpm miss). I opened the box to find out that one of the spark plug wire connectors broke off during shipping...also they packaged the opti horribly. They just threw it into a big box and so it must've hopped around in there and broken that piece off. I'm pretty sure its too late to call and replace this one even though it was their packaging fault and I really don't want to order a new one since this one seems to work. I spun the new opti and it seems to "feel" better then my current one which spins more freely. Not sure if thats a sign of anything.

So my question(s) is what are my options? Can I replace just the housing but keep the internals? If so how do I do this? Do you think Jason will still replace it?

Thanks in advance

Best thing is to contact them first, explain the situation and see what happens. Honestly,i don't know of anyone that would get a package and look at or fondle parts......

As I recall this was a frequent problem with the Opti's from Cromer.... but it seemed to be more than 2 years ago that they had the problem. Maybe more like 4 or 5 years ago.

So I called and he said it was too long ago and he can't do anything. I guess my only options are buy a new one or just get a cap and rotor kit. Any other ideas?
