use an EZ out. They work for drilling bolts out and i'm sure it would work on the dipstick tube.

a good suggestion is not to get metal shavings into your pan. that would suck. if it was mine i would drop the pan and push it out from the bottom.or if you could take a coat hanger put a very small j type hook in it then put it down in and hook it around the bottom and tug it lightly out untill you could grab it. make sure its unbolted too ..that always helps.

thanks

Dipstick tubing is thin, Wouldnt an easy out just press the dipstick tube against the block even worse?
Just a thought, I have no idea, Just the first thing that popped in my head, normally an easy out is trying to turn something in threads, your not really threading anything, I would think the easy out idea may not work and wedge it in there tighter since those are angled to get bigger the further they go in, to grab more of the bolt and make it a stronger grab.

JB weld something to the inside of the stick, and pull it out

Re: Broke the dip stick tube off even with the block, whats the best way to get it out?

Thanks for the thread, i did a search and could only find broken dipsticks not tubes. i've pulled it out atleast twice before. I even sanded it down pretty good just to get it back in last time. i guess i should of pulled more and twisted less.
Anybody ever replaced theres using crome aftermarked stick and tube? Not the flexabale one just a plane one i can get local. Thanks Alan
