Have you heard some good things about the K&N one?
Yes, in fact, I'm running that filter on both of my cars, and I've seen very good oil analysis results with it. It's definitely allowing for excellent oil flow in my LT1, I can tell based on my oil pressure readings at full throttle.

Go for the K&N HP3002 instead, it's the same price as the Mobil 1, but flows way better.
AND, as important, the filtration is not appreciably compromised. IOW, the filtration to flow compromise is a good one. Patman, elaborate?

Yes, because of the type of filtering media K&N uses, it can still trap most of the particles in the 15 micron range or bigger, and these are the ones which will do the most damage. Due to the size of the clearances in the LT1, a particle smaller than 15 microns can be in your oil and will not create very much wear. So trying to find a filter that takes out particles smaller than this is not necessary, and most of those types of filters end up causing a restriction to your oil flow.

I have been using the K&N filter for over a year now.
I did notice an increase in oil pressure also. Has worked great so far and I don't plan on changing any time soon!
