summit turbo mufflers for duals

im thinking about running these mufflers on my true dual setup, to keep the sound down, i will have cutouts before the mufflers.
does anybody have sound clips of these?
how much do they weigh?
im guessing they are very quiet.

yes they are very quiet, I had them for a while and was disappointed because at idle and low throttle it was super quiet, but and at full throttle it was the same, this was with no cats 3inch pipe down to 2.5 into mufflers and hooker longtube headers. They are pretty big they will scrape on lots of stuff, they actually pushed the bottom of the back seat floor pan almost flat because they scraped. I used some cherry bombs they sell, petty quiet at cruise but very loud at full throttle. My curent ones which are pretty quiet overall, but give a slight roar over the summits at full throtle I like best, they cost me 15 bucks and are smaller and lighter than the normal bigger mufflers. They are thrush turbo mufflers that are more mini in size they are I believe 3 inches in height compared to 4.5 for normal ones, also a litle shorter, they fit much better and never scrap for me. I found mine at Miejer store, and some autozones sell them. I had the part number but have since lost it, I would suggest these over the summit ones. They are also the same quality as summit ones

Well any of those bullets will be loud the cherry bombs are much queiter than them, and very sturdy, but they are very heavy and still loud, I screamed past cops a few times-on accident and didn't get stopped. Personally they were still too loud at cruise, the drone got anoying, you will need to stay at certain rpms to have no drone. I like listening to my radio so they were much to loud after my cam, sounded great at full throttle and everybody turned their heads, but not great for everyday if you love the radio or travel far. As you've stated having cutouts gives you both options, I have them also, although I do miss the loud full blasts every so often. Just make sure you get side pipes or or turndowns, this will keep the drone far far away. By side pipes I mean just stopping short of the lower control arms on each side, they work better than turndownse they take the exhaust further from the underside of the car. I have pics of mine if you need to see what I mean.

Hmmn, those small mufflers are only good for 2.5, which I think is plenty. My cutouts are on the 3 inch side and the smaller muflers fit better, although the largger diameter will be more lower in sound, more bassy if thats what you like. I do, but comprimissed on the 2.5 My pics show the old cherry bombs then some pics with the small turbos. Ther is a part number if your interested on one of the pics. http://community.webshots.com/user/djames455 My main beef with the normal size mufflers is they would scrape at low spots in the road, or over steep drives or when I had people in the backseat, it really didn't take much, and i placed them as best as possible. If you want you could bash up the backseat floorpan to give lots more clearance, but taller people will have no legroom. Personally they are not worth anything anyway, plus if you add a rollbar the backseat becomes useless. The sub frames should have plenty of room with the duals
