I just checked Summit and they don't have the 8" version.

Does anyone in Toronto know where I can get them? No way I'm gonna pay the HUGE brokerage fees to bring them over the border.

Jegs shows them in their catalog. Even if Summit doesn't show it in their catalog, if they sell the Moroso product line they can get it. Hope you find it in Canada.

If you have a part # (get it from the Moroso website) all you need to do is enter the part # (plus the vendor identifier code) in the Summit "search" and 99% of the time, you will find Summit sells them. They are not cheap. The 1 Qt was around $13 from JEG's.

Who's the manufacturer on the PF-XXXX filters?

Or is PF-XXXX a universal #?

One advantage to the taler filter is that it actually decreases the pressure through the bypass adapter and therefore allows more oil to be filtered instead of bypassed.
The key phrase is pressure differential, not pressure.

For those from the states, that are interested, I've got a bunch of older Purolator 2 qt. filters I didn't ever use, that I'll let go.

you guys are getting real bad with the larger filter thing, will that 8" filter hit the ground? Why don't u guys get an oil filter relocation kit and put the filter someplace where a filter from a backhoe would fit, you want to see big oil filters, the ones we had at work where like 5-6" around and 10" tall...... how about that for a filter... LOL

I have been using mobil mobil filters with castrol dino 10-30. My oil pressure didnt change when i went from the m1-202 to the m1-302. If you compare a mobil filter to lets say a delco filter the mobil has more openings for oil to go through, and *I* believe that is why it is worth the cash, well that and the filtering capabilities. Yeah, they are expensive, but it makes me feel good

So what would be a better choice here then?

The M1-302 because it will filter MORE?

or

The 1218 because it cost's less and will allow for better flow cause it doesn't filter down as hard?

Go for the K&N HP3002 instead, it's the same price as the Mobil 1, but flows way better.

Wow that intresting I never thought about that. I'll have to give that one a try...

Have you heard some good things about the K&N one?
