I like both clutches, but found the SPEC better for my need. Although I have removed it a few times for problems ,I finally got a good one. As far as chirping gears is concerned, any half dead monkey could muster a fourth out of a stock f-body with a new clutch. While your chirping fourth, I'll do a fourth gear burn out. For comparible prices, the street twin and SPEC w/ alum. flywheel cost about the same. Mines just 30 lbs. lighter. Thats the whole reason I have it. If you get a good one, the SPEC is a great clutch.

Wow dude we are twins. I clicked on your link and I was looking at my car. (Except I dyno 343/356 rwhp and have modded since then ) I absolutly love our color. The only other close is the Sunset Orange Metallic

Keep in mind I would rather buy a new clutch than have to pull a couple "g" out of my butt to buy a 12 bolt or 9" when the street twin breaks my rear end or maybe even the input shaft on my tranny. Nobody seems to be mentioning that.
The clutch won't break the rear end. It's how you use it. A car with the stock clutch will grenade the rear easily if you have a set of sticky tires and side step it at 5,000rpm a few times. The only question is which will break first, the clutch or the rear end. If you use sticky tires and have significant mods, the rear is at risk regardless of what clutch is used.

Well Said Rich.. I can honestly say the reason i have broken my output shaft (err. Roommate broked it ) and my rear is cause of just out there being stupid w/ dumping the clutch at obscene rpm's.. as far as chirping gears goes.. I had 3 count them 3 Stage III Spec's so i'm not speaking out my butt when i speak of them.not one could chirp even 3rd... And you said it yourself aobut finally getting a good one.. I was tired of waiting for that star to fall.. and went w/ what was a proven performer.. Which it very well may be a overkill but is my 9" a overkill too? i'm still stock... or my 400.00 driveshaft? or adj. torque arm? i didn't mean to come off like a d!ck but to be honest i had nothing but headache's w/ the SPec clutches.. And i'd hate to see someone go w/ something that isn't what everyone made it out to be.. pro's and con's..

The Mcleod has some very hard shifting, the problem with the clutch is that your Syncros are doing a lot of the work for you when shifting gears, with time your syncros will give out & you'll keep popping out of gear, that is one thing you wanna keep in mind with any twin disk clutch.
