can a bad battery cause a code 16 and a stall/no start? i just pulled my code and the only there was code 16/low resolution no pulse.the weird thing is even when i jump the battery, it only cranks for a few seconds and then followed by that rapid clicking sound.
i'm going to replace my battery. i hope that i dont have to change the opti. when i got to about 5000 rpms, i started to get sputtering, and then the stall/no start. so im thinking with the code 16, it's more than likely the opti.

 

The battery is not going to cause the code 16, IMHO. Address your voltage issue, clear the code and see what happens after that.
