Anyone running an X-pipe setup?

starting to mod my friends car and am looking at running an x-pipe with a set of Jet Hot or Hooker LT's. Do any of our vendors sell a kit of the mandrel bent peices? I have an X that was supposed to go on one of my cars

Check out Speed Inc. They have x-pipe systems on their cars.

Do a search for "true duals" if you want to see how people have done an x setup. If you're planning on welding it yourself (highly suggested) then I don't think you need a kit.. just find someplace local that sells mandrel bends (or order a few) and use them as you go. Really, there are not that many bends, most of the bends are used between the collectors and the x... after the x it's pretty much straight back.. I used two bends and the end to turn the piping out at the rear wheels and downward.

yep i searched true duals right after i posted that. Which style flange do the Jet Hots use? Hookers use a 3 bolt collector no? Thats going to be the only part that will present a problem, i have a pretty good idea of what has to be done after looking at the y pipe on my car.

Yep 3 bolt collector on the hooker lt's. I have a 3" universal xpipe from Summit into two bullets and dumps before the axle and it sounds awesome. Badass at idle and it screams at upper rpm's.

Jet Hots are almost identical to hookers, use same collector etc

did you have to bend the pipe much up where it connects to the header, around the floor board and what not?

I didn't have to bend or bang up anything. It fit right in there and bolted up fine, doesn't rattle etc....

ehh, wasn't that bad really. No big deal. But then again, both my headers slid right in from the bottom, most people have to jack their motor up, I didn't..i got lucky i guess
