any A4`s with 410`s
any A4`s with 410`s
I was thinking of going that route since I am going though the traps at 5200 rpm and am wasting 800 or so rpm.I dont drive the car much other than taking it to the track so I figure I might give it a shot.
I was wondering at what rpm you guys are at when crusing at 55mph in O.D
Thanks
Dave

Also I figured it would help my 60ft times too cause I bog bad out of the hole with the et streets on.(when I spin abit I get a 1.70 60ft and when I dont spin I get like 1.80)
Re: any A4`s with 410`s
I ran this combo for 3 years:
3448# '93 Z
Bone stock LT1 with exhaust manifolds
3200 stall 10.5" converter
4.10 gears
26 x 10.5" Et Streets
I ran 12.82 @ 106 MPH with this combo. The car was extremely street driveable...2300 RPM's @ 60 MPH in 4th gear. It got over 18 MPG with this combination. With the stock engine it was an extremely consistant 12.9 car.
I only swapped to 3.73's when I did the CC305/ported heads, because I was on my 6200 RPM shift lite about 75 ft. before the stripe @ 112 MPH. I was going out the back door after making a 3-4 shift. The 3.73's slowed the car down .3. I'm switching back to 4.10's for the new motor. The 3.73's really suck.

a few years(97)ago a friend of mine had a set of 4.10s in his(94) a4 ta it would toss you back on the launch but the car spent more time hitting the rev limiter of an un-tuned pcm so he traded it off for a 3.42,much happier.with a tune, converter ,full ex it would have been awesome

Thanks for the help guys.I think if I decide to go with the 410`s I should be fine with 108-110 traps
Re: any A4`s with 410`s
i'm running 4:10's in my car and i love them as long as its not an everyday car. even then it isnt too bad but the constant hum at about 55-60 mph gets a little old. i put mine in the car with 96,000 on the motor and tranny. i did it over the winter and started bracket racing the foloowing season and ran great. and this season i blew the tranny out but then again the tranny has about 105000 on it now that was with et streets surprised it lasted that long lol.... good luck
