Question 410's good in an lt1 m6???

My cousin just bought a 95 lt1 m6 with 46,000 miles on it and he wants to know how well the lt1 takes to the 410 gears because of its low end power. I have a 99 Z with 410's and it is great for the ls1 because of how much top end those things have. Will he even be able to hook up???What about his top end???

a friend just got 4.10s put in his M6 LT1 and he loves the way it feels driving around. The only thing I'd worry about is the rear if he ever put on real sticky tires

A stock LT1 really cannot rev high enough to take advantage of 4.10's IMO. I had em with boltons and really no improvement...just spun more.

I agree w/ FireAm94.... If you have 4.10's you need to be able to make power @ top end or you could actually lose time in the quarter- mile. I love my 4.10's, and I hook really well on the street . The 10-bolt is holding-up so far ....but I have a T/A girdle & a solid pinion spacer as well

You dont need 4.10s, I had 3.73s and changed to 4.10s and I am not happy about it. No change in ET, more driveshaft shake and a "little" lower gas mileage.
I wouldnt do it again.

I like the 4.10's.
Had 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10's. The 4.10's were great.
This is on my old 96 T/A 6 speed with bolt ons which I sold to my brother. 13.3 @ 105 with bolt ons and 150K miles on stock motor.
