Another 1441 error question

I just replaced my fuel pump unit a couple of months ago. Shortly there after I recieved the 1441 code. I was wondering if I should replace the canister purge solenoid and valve or go back and double check the lines around the fuel tank. Thanks.

make sure everything is tight. i had that code and it ended up being a loose vaccum hose at the purge solenoid. i ziptied the hose so it would stay tight and the code went away

P1441 sets when the vacuum detection switch on the passenger side valve cover picks up a vacuum in the line from the canister to the purge solenoid, when the purge solenoid is supposed to be closed. Its most likely a problem with the purge solenoid or the vacuum switch. It can be caused by the two lines on the purge solenoid being switched.

Thanks Injuneer. That what I thought just want to make sure. Thanks for the heads up Pontiac_97. I'll have to double check the hoses.
