Alternator plug ins....HELP Gotta get home

Just helped do my header install tonight and I barely got home before everything started dying. ABS INOP light came on....turn signals stopped working, lights were getting dim, Air Bag light came on, air wasn't working, radio shut off.

I only have the wire connected to the back of the alternator. I didn't take it off so I don't know if it's supposed to have more than 1.

HELP

there should be a plug in the bottom of the alternator, and a wire (battery) bolted onto the back. just don't turn that thing tight on there, i made the mistake and broke it. i bought a new alternator and it wasn't that cheap.

Also.....I ended up not using 2 of the mounting bolts for various reasons....they will get put in. Is the case not grounding itself?

nah, you are ok, i have been running with only 1 bolt holding my alternator in place for like the past 100 miles, that thing sure is in there tight though.

is the batter connected? or is it dead? the plug on the bottom of the alternator needs to be plugged in

That's what I was looking for. I now need to find this plug. All I have now is the red wire from the alt to the battery.

I plugged mine in and it fell out 2 times, its not fun when you start to see your voltage drop 180 miles from home.
