spliced o2's

ok, my o2's have been spliced since the headers were installed back in december. the car hasnt really been right since then and running rich and my gas miliage has been bad. last night the car started to miss real bad, got it home and pluged in my autotap, and its got the code for the misfire, and one for an o2 bank 2 sensor 1 low activity. im guessing this is causeing the missfire. could the spliced o2's be causeing all the little problems and my numbers to be a bit on the low side(271 with tuned pcm)? anyways im ording a/c delco(have been using bosch) and o2 extenders. hoping doing it the right way ends all the problems once and for all.

Re: spliced o2's

If you spliced and added wire between the wetherpak plug and the O2 sensor they are not working properly. Adding the wire yourself works fine, but it must be done on the wirinf that is on the cars wiring harness, the wiring and plug that comes with the O2 sensor must be left intact. The O2 sensor takes ambient O2 readings though the wetherpak connector and if the wires are cut and spliced any where between the sensor and connector it can't get the ambient O2 readings. I hope that made sense.
