Advice on valve springs and rockers

Mods in sig , I have to replace my valve stem seals and I'm currently running 1.5 rockers. Ive also found pieces of spring dampner in my valve covers. I'm not sure what springs are on the car now, What would be the best spring kit and 1.6 rockers for my setup?

Comp cams beehive springs and either 1.52 or 1.6 roller rockers would be a great, economical choice. Ofcourse, it all depends on how much cash you want to throw at it!!

With a cc306 you should already have upgraded springs. If you are looking to upgrade to roller rockers, comp cams has a magnum roller series that is about $175 for the set. It would free up a few HP if you are using stock rockers. Hope this helps.

Re: Advice on valve springs and rockers

I went with the patriot gold extremes, but Lloyd told me if I went with them I would have to get the comp Ultra pro mags which meant instead of $175.00 1.6 proform rr I had to use the comp ultra promags and they were around $375.00. I think it was worth it though cuz of the lift on my cam. I don't know what the lift is on a Cc306 but maybe that is how you should decide.

Re: Advice on valve springs and rockers

The springs are definitely not stock. They look to me like they are dual coil racing springs, but identifying the builder is another story. From my experience, springs never have a brand name on them. The rockers are full roller rockers, and are most likely 1.6 ratio. I would continue using these springs and rockers, and just get new valve stems and seals.

Wow, never heard of that. I guess it's time for some comp cams beehive springs. The 1.5 rockers are just fine, I would continue to use those. Maybe it's time for a valve job also if the springs are falling apart.

The rockers look like Crane Energizers.

PAC makes the beehives used by just about everyone, including Comp. You can buy the exact same springs much cheaper under the "Scorpion" brand name.

As usual, Summit and Jegs have the best prices. Just don't expect any expert support from them.

Re: Advice on valve springs and rockers

I think my Crane 10308 spring kit had the red lines on there but I can't be sure. Those are definitely the Crane energizer rockers. You could always give someone like Lloyd Elliott a call, and talk to him about setting you up with some springs. I'm not trying to volunteer him for it, but, you might even ask him to test the springs you have and see what you've already got. Either way you'll get better service and support than from Summit/Jegs/etc.

If you want to sell the springs and/or rockers, PM me.
