96 z28 still has problems! help?
okay, so i posted other threads before about problems im having with my z28. ive gotten some good info but its still not running that good. So anyways, back to the problem. i turn it on and it idles but sometimes it wants to die so i pumped the brakes and it actually started to run better. it got the rpms back up and idles a little higher than it was. but when i try to give it gas it goes a tiny but up in rpms or sometimes goes down. i was gonna check the fuel pressure so i bought a tester and it wasnt the right one 
. when it idles, it sounds like its cammed. does it sound like a fuel problem? i replaced the plugs and wires before i installed the engine. i checked to see if they're crossed and their good. sometimes when i give it gas, it wants to accelerate but then go's back to running bad. im just so confused. also, i unplugged the map sensor and it didnt do anything. just kept running bad. hopefully by the end of the week i can get somebody to check whats making the ses light come on. i might post a video of it later.

The brake booster is actuated by vacuum. Have you checked thoroughly for vacuum leaks?
What RPM does the engine normally idle at, in neutral and in gear? How low do the RPM's drop when it seems like its going to stall?
You indicate it "sounds like its cammed." Are you absolutely certain you have all the spark plug wires in the correct order on the Opti?
Generally not a good idea to start a new thread on an onging problem, without at least posting a link to the earlier thread, so people can see what has already been suggested, what you have already checked and ruled out, etc.

Also, in the other thread you indicated you unplugged the MAF sensor, and it still ran bad. Now you are indicating " i unplugged the map sensor and it didnt do anything." Which one did you unplug, or did you unplug both of them?

yeah i've checked every where for a vacuum leak. When in neutral and in gear it idles at about 500 rpms. it goes down to about 400-350 when its about to stall. i've checked them twice but i'll just check again to make sure. and i have unplugged both the maf and the map sensor.
