Not worth it. Because the LT1 water pump is not driven off the serpentine belt/pulley, the major component of HP saving is not present. Here's an actual dyno test that showed an improvement of 0.7 peak HP........

You are also likely to end up with charging problems at idle in heavy traffic, lights on, etc.

I bought one before that dyno was put on the internet, it was the March and it was 30 percent underdriven. The only thing I noticed from it was the belt squeek went away on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift....lol
...... is changing the throttle body on these cars hard/easy to do? i went to a car show last night and a guy told me he had a hard time doing it because their is coolant lines going into the throttle body. i was looking at getting this throttle body....

The best thing to do is remove the coolant from the throttle body. Pull the 2 hoses off and hook them together with a 3/8" hose barb and a couple clamps. 6 rwHP, dyno proven, virtually free. Be carefull not to drip coolant on the Optispark distributor. Same source:

Another poor choice. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from putting a 58mm throttle body on a virtually stock engine. We did engine dyno testing on my stroker, and the 58mm throttle body was able to supply all the air the engine could use when it was only 77% open. And that was with the engine close to 500 flywheel HP.
