500 rwhp
Re: 500 rwhp
Well if you build the shortblock to handle the pressure the daily driver that eats alot of boost or nitrous when needed has more potential. you can allways turn up the boost or change the jets, but know the limits you have built into your set-up.
Re: 500 rwhp
ive heard that it dosent take much to put those bad larrys into the 11s. but a vette would not be my style, im sorry to say but i beleve the corvette to be an old man car, but that ls2 engine is looking good.
Re: 500 rwhp
Why not scrap the 383 idea, Go 396! Get a 396 low comp with a STS(Squires Turbo System) turbo runnin a good amount of boost and a damn good tune, you'd see much higher then 500RWHP. The man that created and designed STS turbo's is a good friend of mine here in utah his name is rick squires. here's his web site www.ststurbo.com Check it out and look at his power gains, I have a few friends that have these. Rick has yet to have a 396 runnin a STS, the biggest with the STS is a 383 with 12PSI of boost his name is brandon and put down 598HP and 637FTLB of torque.
And I just noticed your runnin the M6... Along with what ever you choose to do If I were you and money was not an issue I would Rip the ***** rear end out and get a 12bolt made, That amount of power and a tranny that doesnt absorb as much shock wave as an A4 means a busted read end! I have a nitrious fed 383 LT1 In my 94 Trans Am, and I'm runnin a A4 4L60E tranny and I've gone through three tranny's but havent had to replace the rear yet. If I had a M6 that would be a different story!

Re: 500 rwhp
fully forged 396, AFR 210s ported by TEA, fully ported LT4 manifold, decent size cam, and tuning.
With all the matching bolt ons, you should hit 500 rwhp rather easily through an M6.

Re: 500 rwhp
I think it is so funny whenever I read someone write "Money is no problem." I mean seriously. You realize that a ridiculous set of heads is going to run you 5000. A FULLY forged, nasty bottom end is going to run you about 4000. The solid roller camshaft and valvetrain components are going to run you around 2000. The 12 bolt is going to run you 2000. All the additional boltons that you are going to need (TB, Headers, exhaust, intake, oil pump, gaskets, blah blah blah) is going to run you probably another 3000. So if you have a "spare" 16000 dollars laying around then go for it.
I think your best bet is to do some reasearch on this site and then decide with what you want to do for your setup.

just so you guys understand why i am saying mony is no issue, when you get sent to the desert to get shot at for 12 months and have nothing to spend money on and alittle bit of rank, you tend to save up alittle bit of cash. plus no taxes out of our paychecks ontop of all the extra pay that we get. you could say that im gunna have alittle money to play.
