4/7 Swap??

4/7 Swap??

I was reading up on the 4/7 swap on cams to change the firing order and gainng up to 10hp.....was just wondering if anyone has done this and what they though about the results...

Ya won't see 8-10FWHP on the normal LT1. What Darrin is refering to is a 8-10 gain on a 1000+HP pro motor.
If ya got a 500+FWHP engine ya will see small gains but it is NOT an automatic 8-10 HP just with a cam change and a 4/7 swap.
IMO it's NOT worth the trouble or expense to change.

I've done it and it works well, in a couple of areas not just power.... it takes a lot on a LT1 to do it is the problem.

It will help the motor run cooler. We've experimented with that setup on a circle track motor.
