The M6 flywheel (like the A4 flex plate) has a counterweight on it for stock external balance. If you internally balance the rotating assembly, you would have to remove the weight from the flywheel.

When you have the rotating assembly balanced, bring the flywheel and dampner, have them balance the crank to them, that way if you need to replace one down the line you can use stock replacement stuff.
