Re: 306 cam users?

I have a cc306 cam... just replaced my junky collapsed comp r lifters... much better... but I did notice something about this cam... I don't have the low end grunt/torque than I did when I had stock h/c.... but when I hit 3500 rpm's it comes alive...

Stock car meaning stock longblock or totally bone stock. I'd have to disagree with the claim that a smaller cam will probably make more power. Perhaps if you start talking about the GM847 vs a 248/252 or something, perhaps the power would drop off or be hard to put to good use. But I have never seen a Hotcam, CC305, XE503 or anything that size or smaller dyno with the big boys like the GM847 [357rwhp]. Any its even bigger than the CC306.

I've seen numbers...........cc305 vs cc306 in stock applications, the cc305 made more power due to the stock heads, the cc306 made a little more torque.

I like the 306, I had 4.10's long before I ever had the cam in my M6 TA. Plenty of torque for daily driving.

So you've seen CC305 cars trap 115mph with at or above 350rwhp/350rwtq? I sure havent but I'd welcome any proof. Usually the CC305's are below by at least 10rwhp/10rwtq. The only way I'd could see the CC305 making more is if your were severely under-reving the CC306.

So with the LLOYD E. package you get a portjob and a custom grinded cam right? How much extra is it for him to install your valves/springs/r.rockers, ect? ---

Valves and springs will be installed. You will have to install the rockers after you put the heads on.
