160* thermo question

I just put a 160* thermo in my car along with new coolant. Do i need to do anything else for it to work right. Im assuming no, cause it just lets coolent flow sooner, but my car really isnt running that much cooler. After one lights its right back up to that first line(which is cooler then it used to be, but im pickey and i like doing things right the first time).

My buddy has a hyper tech for a 97 that currentally isnt being used, could i use that?? THanks.

It's pretty much plug-and-play until you get bigger mods done...then you'd want a recalibration...

Sitting in traffic, it will heat up just as before. It is when there is air flow across the radiator, that it has a chance to cool more. You can read more about the 160º thermostat here.
