Exclamation **UPDATE**Possible bad Fuel Pump

I posted about my fuel pump possibly going bad

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=241972

here are the Fuel Pressure results...

in the "On" position, the car pressurizes @ a whopping 22 psi and barely holds

At idle the car barely reaches 33 psi.

So it looks like the Racetronix kit thats coming in this week will do the job.

Make sure you clean your tank out before you put in the new pump.

We have had a higher than normal failure rate on pumps for F-LT1 cars due to their age and rust contamination.

Thanks for the tip. Good to see vendors interacting with customers on here

Do you have any tips on cleaning the fuel tank? I'll be installing this pump from the "Trap Door" method a lot of people use rather than dropping the rear and exhuast.

You can not clean the tank using the trap door method.
The tank must be flushed a few times and dried out to be done properly.
