So where's the remark that required you to lose your mind and start name calling?
Ah so that's the reason for you to lose your mind and start in on the name calling?
If a static CR matters that much to you then 11.7:1 is still a very street friendly CR on pump gas. There, is that better?
Geezus... NO ONE was trying to pick a fight. It was YOU who started in on the name calling. It has been posted time and time again how static CR is not important.
I guess I should say I appreciate you being on your toes pointing out that typo and making absolutely sure to say, "It was 11.7:1 which is much closer to 12:1..."
I really don't understand what point you were trying to make, but more power to you.
P.S. I have never bought an AI product, but can appreciate what they offer.
I was merely pointing out that there was an inaccuracy in the compression # and
all of a sudden static compression doesn't matter anymore.

You guys make AI look bad with your constant trolling for an interweb fight.

I mentioned the compression because it is WAY lower than many compareably fast cars. Most mid 9 second cars run above 14:1. Most mid 9 second cars are extremely light. And every mid 9 second LT1 perviously run is based on a custom one off setup (from intakes to .
Ai could build you this exact motor. Other Ai customers are likely running the same cam (as it was originally designed for fast street/strip cars). Dozens of customers are running the same heads.
Anyone with the money and the desire to set a car on the bumper could purchase this exact setup. I don't think any other LT1 company or machine shop has ever offered such an option.
what would be considered to high a compression ratio for pump gas 93 octane in a LT-1 I know there's alot of variables I would think its around 13.0:1 possibly..
That car is a really setup I admire him for the time and effort put into it.. I would like to think I could do the same but my check book won't allow it. LOL

Yes, running deep into the 9's AND running lt1 specific heads, not conversions. There are 2 guys locally to me, 1 is an sb2.2 based 396" lt1 running 9.30's and the other is 383" trickflow headed lt1 running in the 9.40's. Both cars are really nice and they don't run training wheels.
Stock eliminator lt1's have run in the low 10's with non ported factory heads, stock lift cams, stock intake and etc.

True, and they run on the threshold of the letter of the rule too, with other 'tricks' that comply. I have two friends that run this class, and their cars are not cheap, put together with painstaking attention to detail, with countless hours in suspension tweaking. You find that 'stock' is a relative term.
Great setup, congrats!
Only small issue I have is saying someone can go to AI and get this exact same setup. While it's true, you can get the same H/C motor built, I seriously doubt you will get the same results as Rick. Not taking anything away from AI, but at the same time don't take anything away from Rick and his crew who I'm sure spent an enormous amount of time tweaking the whole car.
While "stock" is a relative term you can't argue with stock untouched heads/intake and stock "like" lift/duration cams running low 10's.

I agree, and no doubt. But I take some exception with "untouched" heads. They're not $3k+ per set because they've never been touched.
