Buy spare parts that are known for failing at random times on your vehicle.

Not tires!!! Get a new set when you need them, and get recently manufactured ones.

A share stock in oils or 20 isn't a bad idea, wink wink nudge nudge.

i think the majority of us factored in supporting mods and all reccommended are 2 cents that would still leave him a couple hundred bucks afterwards incase something does go wrong...

Get all the small stuff first, then work up for the big stuff. $2500 is a good chunk of change towards a new short-block 383 as well. However I'd either get boltons or do the best thing and put that money away.

ok reading all of this i have a thought. I should take the 2500 and get the most expensive part first since the not so expensive stuff is much easier to get through the rest of the year..ie cai, catback, headers and such. The car isnt a daily driver so i dont really care about the reliability factor, so if something breaks its no big deal, its mostly gonna be a weekend warrior and the "take it to work on fridays" occasionally. So theres my thought.
