The painted 10 spokes with F1 tires are take offs from new cars that were converted to SSs.
The chrome 10 spokes are not take offs.
Both of the above are facts...
The painted 10 spoke without tires are new I believe, but not totally sure.
I got the painted 10 spokes with F1s for around a grand. I thought it was an awesome deal. I doubt that the cars they came off of have 20 miles, 5000 is WAY out of the ballpark. Mine looked like they hadn't made it around a block.

The speedo is not affected if you use 275/40/17 tires. There is a miniscule error factor if you use 285/40/17s.

The jounce spacers were not needed for my car, either before or after lowering. I have never heard of anyone needing them either. I guess your car could be the first though... Don't waste the money til you know for sure.

Good luck

there are some details that i found the hard way, so i'll share. you may need spacers if you go with the +56mm offset, which most of the 17x9.5 rims are. the only problem is that with the 1/4" spacer, most tire shops won't even think about touching your rims. also, for my peace of mind, i put in longer wheel studs with the spacers, since i was getting only about 4 turns of the nut onto the stud with spacers installed. new studs requires pulling rear axle... later, when i went with the black rims, i decided to go with the +38mm offset to eliminate the need for spacers. this worked out great, until i lowered the car. after lowering, the outside of the rear tires rubbed on the fenderwell. i installed a set of jounce bumper spacers, and problem solved. that is the only situation i have ever heard of that required jounce bumper spacers and where they have solved a problem. sorry for the long post. hope this helps.

This might be the case with aftermarket rims, as there is not a huge selection of rims made specifically for the F-cars...
The rims in question though are stock SS rims and fit the car like a glove. Vette rims are slightly inset and look better on our cars with a thin spacer, but even they work fine without.
