Look under the hood, if the throttle cable goes to a "black box" and then to the throttle body, that's the TCS control. If your throttle cable goes from the firewall right into the throttle body, NO TCS!

Lemme go take a pic of mine.

The black box on the left is what controls the TCS system, if you have that, you have TCS.

BTW, it is possible they forgot the switch. I've seen cars with the wrong gearing, RPO codes WAY off, Missing gears in the rear axle. It CAN happen. It's rare because most items are found before they leave the plant, but not all are.

Well, my cable runs straight to the tb. So looks like it doesn't. And as for the factory catching most stuff.*coughs* your dealer catches most of it. They have to go over it with a fine tooth comb when the truck drops it off. I have been around it more then most so the switch missing wasn't that big of deal to me. I ran it up to SLP day and the top end is fine. Only happens when I break traction. We have just been so busy M-F with after school tutorings and physical therapy that there is no time to get it into the dealership. My Talon is apart right now waiting on parts so we have 1 car. pretty much sucks atm. The other thing is the piston slap, anyone know if that might set off the knock sensor? I can't even be sure it is "piston slap" since it sounds more like noisy lifters. I just have to grin and bare it.

As for me I wouldn't trust a dealer to catch a cold, let alone anything wrong with my car. But that's MY opinion!! LOL!!!

Ok, well at my dealership we did.. every new one that came in. At least the manager, a service person, and a mechanic. We always found somthing wrong. Very few times did we have a clean car roll in.

Course not, but that doesn't mean that the Dealership ACTUALLY CAUGHT any problems! LOL.
