newb to the lsx scene, need help on 5.3 swap

if things go right i'm buying a 99 formula roller wednesday and would like to know what i would have to do to put a 5.3 in it. im sure i would have to get ls1 brackets and accessories and oil pan, i heard something about having to drill one of the bolt holes for the alternator. the 5.3 i have is out of a 07 avalanche but not complete. i'll be doing a search to see what i can find out but just wanted to ask also. i plan on trying to stroke it to a 383 and get AI or TEA or someone to do the heads. which intake and throttle body would i need to go with also? thanks in advance

if you are going to stroke, why not get a 6.0l? do a 408 and l92/76 or ls3 heads/intake.

some info... Official L92/L76 and LS3 Heads/Intake FAQ and Information

I have been looking at that cause parts are about the same. I just don't want to not be able to hop in it and go when I want to

Either will be just as driveable, IMO. keep the cam reasonable, driveability will be good as stock... (with a decent tune). and the extra cubes and HP are only going to cause you grief if your right foot cant be tamed.

I was just thinking (like you), that the costs are about the same; may as well get the most for your money.
