MS3 /TEA 5.3l Stage-2.5
Just a small update I forgot to mention. The stock clutch at 50kmiles of hard driving is slipping and that is the reason it wasnt reved any higher. The new clutch is comming in. Its hard to get info right when im in Iraq and the car is in FL. Ethier way I trust the tunner.
Furthermore, that dyno is in STD correction. In SAE, which is generally accepted as the benchmark, puts you around high 420s power wise. Judging by that graph, power looked like it would peak around 6200-6300rpm, which means you've got some work to do - it ain't right.
Why does EFI Alchemy scale HP and TQ differently? That's unnecessary at your power level.

The fact that they scale HP and TQ differently and use STD instead of SAE throws up a red flag in my mind ---- do they want you to believe that you are making more power than you actually are?
Once again, very lackluster results -- post up your final results -- too many adverse things going on to get a true power level -- slipping clutch, didn't want to rev it that high, a rich 12:1 tune, etc -- I don't know if I'd honestly buy any of it.
I don't think the MS3 is too big of a cam for a 346 car with the appropriate mods.
- Heads (Personally not a fan of the TEA heads - Trick Flow, AFR, ETP, AI 243)
- Intake
- Proper gearing/stall
- Weight reduction
I run the G5x2 (232/240 112) with a SS3600 and 3.73 gears, runs great. I'm thinking about bumping up to a SS4000 as that should be even better and still not blow through with the Nitrous.
I plan to move to more weight reduction (K-Member, Supports removed, etc etc), Nice set of heads, FAST92, 4.10-4.30, 28" tires and will then go with the TR Raptor (236/242 111). Should make for a nice combo even still with the N20.
Granted my car is a garage queen that is used for some street fun and track work. I don't daily drive it.
