oh yea, and who can forget the fact that hitler didn't die due to a bullet, he got hit by an LS1 powered vehicle, thus an LS1 ended World War 2, a war started by an LT1.

Re: ls1 or lti???

The LT1 will start WW3 against the LS1 and emerge victorious because iron is better than aluminum Also, LT1s will be better at defending our country against terror attacks because of the power of "iron"

The LT-4 is 330 hp and is somewhat comparable to an LS-1, but does NOT have more hp and torque. It has a higher compression ratio, slightly better heads, and a 6300redline. the lt-4 equipped 'vettes were good for low low 13's, sometimes into the 12's. Most people manage about a 13.7x with an lt-4 fbody. As far as LS-1's not standing a chance? Wake up buddy. Are you sure you weren't thinking about the LT5 zr-1 engine?

Screw you all....................an IRON block, 6.0L LS2 will kill everything, bar none!

Although, the 7.0L LS7 should be a handful.................maybe not indestructable, but you'd have to catch it first!!

Whoa, wait a minute here. The LSx head is far superior to the LTx head no matter what. Period. Just check this thread for proof

Actually thats a false statement....LS1's generally dyno higher then LT4's

Re: ls1 or lti???

So in all honesty LT4 AFR heads that are worked to the max (from AI for example) should easily out perform the LS1 heads, right?

No the most Ive heard out of any AFR LT4 227cc's or 215rr's is in the 330-340cfm intake range(although more is probably possible). Ive seen a few sets of LS6 heads in the 350-360cfm range, and Ive heard of someone getting near 370cfm, but I doubt it had decent port velocity. But theres other alternatives, you can convert SBC to reverse flow cooling and put them on an LT1(which you cant on an LS1). And if anyone ever gets a set of LT1 ARAO 32 valve heads to work(Bobby Simpson"The Big Show" is close), I dont see LSX castings being able to match their flow capability's(around 400cfm).

Really its more about the overall setup than just the heads. Joe Overton has AFR 227cc's on his LT1 and up until recently outran all NA LS1's using far less cubes than they were(his best is a 9.36 using 388ci)

Hm. think I got misunderstood. I meant LT-4 heads were better than lt-1 heads, not LS-1 heads. LOL And what does that link have to do with heads anyway? C5R heads flow well over 400cfm, and the new c6 z06 heads are supposed to flow near 370 stock. LS-1/6 heads flow great from the factory, and are able to flow some awesome numbers when ported to the max.
