Re: LOUDEST Exhuast

Give him what he wants SSpdDmon- loud!

If you add an x or an h-pipe, it will quiet it down. Don't connect the pipes from side to side if you want it to be the "loudest" possible. Wait until after you get your ticket...

You might want to check into this in all seriousness to know the rules of the game you are playing. Some states count modified exhaust tickets as actual moving violations. I can gaurantee you that if you pass a traffic officer on duty with straight pipes anywhere near WOT, you're getting stopped.

Re: LOUDEST Exhuast

I had open headers on my car from the length of my house to the exhaust shop. It was SWEET. i loved it but it felt like my car was going to vibrate apart. I think i might get cutouts now just so i can sound like that again for a little while I have a 3" x-pipe with flowmaster super 40's on there now. I had them dumped before the axle w/o turndowns and it was freaking loud. You couldn't carry a conversation going down the interstate at 80. And when you started it up, it was the best sounding exhaust i've ever heard. It shook the whole car even. It sounded awesome tho. Now I have them ran them out the back with some 4.5'x22" tips. It quieted it down a little during low and mid range, but going down the interstate, it's still pretty loud. Some say that it is the mufflers that drone so much, but i dont know. It mainly just made the exaust not a little higher and not so deep...don't get me wrong it is still REALLY loud. I would do duals with a cut-out just so that if you need to quiet it down some, you can with ease. As for the piggy part of the situation, all cop's i've ran into don't care. i think as long as you are not PIERCING loud you are fine..it's the dip****s that hack their exhaust's off and make them sound like crap. They don't mind the deep sounds even if they are a little loud. My top end power is crazy now du to te x-pipe. Every time i race people, i KILL them in the top end! It SCREAMS! hope i could help a little.
