I just received my urethane motor mounts and was wanting to know if I have to take off the headers lt's? there is only 1/4 to 3/8 inch from the body of the car. Will I be able to get teh old mounts out if I leave the lts on?

 

i've read about a bunch of people that do it with the headers on but say it really isn't worth it for the extra pain and sufferring of working around them

for me it was a 10hour job...

2hours of wrenching
8hours of twisting, adjusting, messing around to get the mounts out and then back in...

that was with manifolds...i think it would be impossible with LTs

 

OMG! now I don't know if I even want to do it..lol

 

What if you dropped the K-member?

honestly, as i looked at it when i put my LTs in...it would have been a 1hr job if i had waited to do it then.

with the manifolds out of the way, and before the LTs....it would have been cake to get them unbolted, out, back in and bolted up.

oh well

Where do you get these mounts at? I have looked all over, far and wide and can't find them?!

 

several places have them i think...but i got mine here:
