FlowTech Headers

I came across flowtech headers and will most likely get them, i had a few questions i was hoping someone could help me with. First off i would like to get ceramic coating, but is it really worth the extra 100$+? And secondly if I get the Flowtech OR Y will i have to get the car tuned, will it throw off any codes with out Cats?

Thanks

Re: FlowTech Headers

the coating is well worth it. it is amazing at how much heat it keeps out of the engine bay.

the coating is the highest quality. i have noticed mine is starting to rust through inbetween the primary tubes just infront of the collectors. this is down where road debris can scratch and chip them, so it isn't all that suprising.
not to mention i live on an island in the middle of the ocean...lots of salt air.

with the offroad ypipe you will throw a code for the rear o2 sensors. this can either be ignored, tuned out or fooled with 02 simulators.
either way the engine will not run any different, you'll just have the SES light on.
