Does anybody know why the windows and radio would just stop working. I have a 1995 z28 with 30,000 miles on it. I checked the fuses all seem to be good. I was just driving down the road listing to the radio, with the windows down so now they wont roll up, and the power to the radio and windows just shut off. Can somebody please help me.

 

Bad RAP Module? It is the RAP module that provides power to the radio and windows after the key is turned off, until a door is openned.

I still havent figured it out. The radio does not come on and the windows also have no power, i cant figure it out???

 

Did you check the fuses? Start with the obvious first....

 

Did you check the RAP module as Tracy suggested? That is in the path of the power to both the radio and the power windows. If it fails, the radio and windows will not have power.

 

Mine does the exact same thing!! But mine does it intermittently. Mine does it for a few minutes at a time. Seems to get worse when its hot, and I can rap on the dash above the radio and it comes back on... does yours do this, too?Thanks for the suggestions, I will try this as well.
