What color do I have?

According to the Camaro White Book two blues were offered in '87. Light blue and dark blue. Can anyone tell from the small avatar which one I have? I've only seen my color blue in the area. Also is there a White book for Trans Am's. I couldn't find any online?

This may help. Not sure if there were different color codes.

Did you look for the color code on the "trim tag"?

There is a "Firebird Red Book", but they never updated it after the second edition, through 1997 model year. Used copies start at $80 on Amazon.

Re: What color do I have?

If the car has NOt been repainted the only blue offered on 87 IROC-Z28 was Bright Blue paint code 23 wa 8751 with three interior options Black, Gray and Saddle. This from the 87 sales info. Original owner of a 87 IROC and was going to get that color, however none were available at that time.

Yea according to the web site Bright blue was the only blue. But in the White book it says two. I was a self employed independent dealer for 12 years and I never saw another blue besides the RS baby blue. So it seems it is the only blue. Thanks to all. All replies were very informative. 1quick1 redeemed himself in his second and third post.

If you look carefully at the entries in the White Book, next to each color code is a listing of the avialable mdels for that paint code. The code "Zci" indicates the IROC-Z, and that is only posted next to the "28" paint code, not the "13" code.
