It's the same stuff. I picked up all my own materials and did mine over a year ago. I had just replaced the drivers motor - passenger had been done months earlier. After this modification - driver and passenger windows went up and down identical in speed. It is just now that I am noticing the passenger window is beginning to lag behind going up. I never got around to doing the passenger side, now I will have to. I see how this definitely works.

yeah, the autotrix kit is just a very convenient way to do this, since they put all the nec. parts in there for you and good quality relays. for the money, I think its well worth it. Id be all over this if I were keeping my car.

Yes I bought the autotrix setup for the passenger side window. I then bought the individual parts for the driver window from a car stereo shop for a lot less.

The autotrix is worth it since you get all the wiring and instructions.

Did you order from WS6store or autotrix and get double shipping costs?

I ordered 2 from WS6store and it doubled the shipping. It says they can currently only send them out individually???

EDIT: When I received them they were in the same box?

someone told me this wouldnt speed up the driver side at all just the passenger side.. something to do with passenger side getting power from driver side or something of that nature

so has anyone did this on both windows and noticed a chang on both.. and if so.. how much?

also has anyone used a volt meter on the factory wireing to see just how much its getting at the moter when switched?

Well, schematics are not exactly my second language - but if I read brown as hot on Shbox's diagram then each switch has it's own power from the fuse block. Again, if I understand correctly - the passenger window switch on the DS is sending a ground - not power. That tells me power wise, they are independant - power wise.

My DS is powered with a direct run from the battery (fused). When I had planned to do the PS (I'll get around to it) - I was going to simply tap that run.

Right now - both windows run pretty much neck and neck. But speed wise I have no complaint - they actually function as real power windows.

There is much more electrical resistance in the power wiring going to the passenger window, and lesser going to the driver window. This is why the passenger side is always the bigger problem.

The relay mod does the MOST for the passenger window and will also work on the driver side if you want. This will allow the driver window catch up to the modded passenger window in terms of speed and power.

Does the auto down still work or does it bypass all together?

Our kit has not caused any problems with the factory express down or the bfranker mod.
