Window regulator
Replacing my drivers side regulator because the window moves in the front/rear direction. Any tips? I've been reading that you have to be careful with the spring. Can it come out with the motor? Does anyone have a writeup on how to replace?

Try resetting the window adjustments first. There are several procedures on various forums describing this. Unfortunately I am new here and don't know if this site has one. Take off the door panel and see if one of the adjustment or track bolts has loosened causing the fore-aft motion.
The spring can stay on, but if you are also removing the motor from the regulator, you will have to block the arm from moving first. There is really almost no reason to ever remove the spring.
