Window regulator

My window regulator rivets that hold it to the door are rea loose and one is cracking out. Can I drill them out and replace them with bolts or do they need to pivot? What's the fix? Thanks.

Bolts will work as long as they do not interfere with operation.

If the contact point where the rivit was is cracked use a fender washer there to spread out the load. I had the same problem with mine. This prevents additional damage and keeps the bolt head from pulling through the hole.
