Swap lt1 from a 94 to a 97

Hello guys. I need help to understand the situation.

So I bought a z28 1997 camaro with a broke engine. I had a 94 camaro so I decide to put the 94 LT1 in the 97 z28 .

So it start awesome. But after 10 minutes the engine start to sounds bad and move like a crazy damm engine.
the transmission only gave me 2 speeds no more.

My question is. Is there any problem with the computer?
or its because it have headers and still cant install the pipe with the oxygen sensors.

What I need to do here?
thank you

Which year 4L60E transmission are you using? Which year PCM are you using? Which year engine harness are you using?

The 94 engine does not have a crankshaft position sensor for misfire detection. The 94 does not have an EVAP vacuum switch. The 97 harness connector will not connect correctly with a 1994 Opti, the connectors are different lengths. How did you address all those differences?

You can’t control a 94 4L60E with a 1997 PCM, You can’t control a 97 4L60E with a 1994 PCM.

The 94 engine uses a different knock sensor than the 97. The knock sensor and the PCM have to be from the same year, or you will get almost constant knock retard = power loss.

PCM can’t control the A/F ratio without the pre-cat O2 sensors.
