reverse manual fan switch

searched for my answer but found jack and crap and jack left town hah. anyway added 160 thermo with manual fan switch hooked into blue wire (high speed fan) and want to go back to normal operation. do u just (un-splice) the wire for the switch from the blue wire and disconnect the ground then put 195 thermo back in or is there some unknown complication to it? just dont want to ruin my computer settings and whatnot. thanks for any input
