Question

Anybody know if there is a Ford rotor that will fit on an 81 Z28 rearend. I am building a C cab and it has an 81Z28 posi rear. I have a nice set of slotted mags that I would like to use but they have the ford bolt pattern. Thanks for any help.

Re: Question

To change the bolt pattern you would need to change the axles, since the studs are mounted in the axle flanges. Since you are asking about rotors, is this even a disc brake setup?

An alternative to changing the axles would be to get a set of adapters - a thick spacer that bolts to your stud pattern, and then has a set of its own studs matching the wheels you want to use.

Yes it is a disc brake setup. I was hoping to find a rotor I could use. I've looked at some adapters, just wasn't sure I wanted to do that.

You could drill the factory axles or get aftermarket axles with the right pattern, I am sure there are rotors you could use that will work, crown vic rotors come to mind.
