Please help with last steps of my swap

I need help with the coil configuration on my 95 lt1 swap in to my 96 formula I have both harnesses and pcms I have wired it both ways so far I had obd1 with security light (so no gas) and now I have obd2 with no spark bc I figured I would need 96 coil with 96 harness and pcm and finally done the vats bypass now

Confusing…. is the SECURITY light still on? If so, that doesn't indicate a problem with the fuel or spark, it simply prevents fuel from being supplied. The only difference between the 93-95 (OBD-1) and 96-97 (OBD-2) is that the earlier theft deterrent module functions (key recognition, START enable, and 50Hz fuel enable signal) is incorporated in the 96-97 body control module.

In any case, the coil and harness connector (dual plug vs. single plug) have to match.

You have to use the coil that matches the connector on the engine harness.

A 93-95 coil has two connectors, each with two pins, one connector is black, the other is gray, and they nest together side-by-side.

A 96-97 has a single black oval connector with three pins.

Coils are not differentiated as either OBD-1 or OBD-2. They are differentiated by the connector. The 96-97 coil developed a slightly higher voltage. The coil wire tower is slightly different.
