Need a Crapload of info/prices here
Well I finally got my car back from the shop today to get all the leaks checked (bought the car 2 weeks ago for $4,900 with a new engine/tranny/rear that was claimed to run reliable and leaked NOWHERE)
needless to say so far I have replaced these parts
-PCM + LT4 Knock + Professional Street Tune (original board was fryed, no knock sensor in it either) $320
-Knock Sensor on block (had a water valve) $29
-New NGK T55 Plugs (Other New Bosche Plugs had fouled since it running rich from the computer being untuned) $12
-New 160 HyperTech Stat (not installed) $29
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
anyways for the stuff I need priced... I was qouted $2,400 for replacing all this stuff today from a LT1/LS1 shop in my area
2x O2 Sensors with the wiring on them (think they all come like that?) remember I have no cats/emissions so I dunno if there is a special kind
1x Plug Wires (Need Performance ones, the one on the car are ****ty autozone and don't transfer for ****)
1x Water Pump (Current one is leaking)
1x Transmission Pan Gasket (Leak)
1x Opti Cap + Motor (current opti is a new vented one, it just didnt have the vacum line going to it)
New Transmission line (both) I'm probably going to die on this one right because I cant pressure test this myself right?? current one has clamps in the middle and the pressure is making them leak like a boat at pearl harbor
The oil leak was just a double gapped oil filter (thank god)
EDIT after a hour or so I found the below
Quan / Part No / Name of Part / Shop Price / Online Price / Price Difference Shop - Online
2 BOSCH 02 Sensor $130 $100 $30 - Autozone
1 MSD Wireset $85 $75 $10 - JEGs.com
1 JEGS WaterPump $230 $180 $50 - JEGs.com
1 TCI Trany Pan Gsk $45 $22 $23 - JEGs.com

Re: Need a Crapload of info/prices here
All of those problems are relatively minor, it sounds like the previous owner didn't like to keep up with the small things. Everything you picked out looks good but as for the cap and rotor, I would probably just buy a whole new GM Optispark unit instead. The cap and rotor are not the only parts that fail on the Optispark so its just safe and easier to replace it as a whole. Also, Shoebox has numbers for two guys named Jason and Dal on his website, they offer very good prices on GM parts. You can probably get the Optispark, new GM 02 sensors, and a GM tranny pan gasket for very competitive pricing from these guys.

as far as the o2 sensors go, if you dont have emmisions just get o2 sims or just have the deleted in the pcm. ive seen alot of memebers on this board selling their o2 sims, so check out the classified section. dont be afraid to check the supporting vender list.

At shop rates the $2400 is probably close to reality. Labor alone is probably $1000+. Then all the parts with shop mark-ups and you'll hit $2000+ in no time.
Now, I'm not saying that is a good price, though.

Do not buy Bosch O2 sensors. Get the OEM AC/Delco (Delphi) parts.
Re: Need a Crapload of info/prices here
ya called the dealer in FL
2 GM 02 Sensor $74.48
1 MSD Wireset $75
1 GM WaterPump $170.17
1 GM Trany Pan Gsk $3.92
also I talked to the shop owner because he had told me and my dad the front/rear seals on the tranny leaking but he didnt list them on the qoute.. he said the rear is a breeze (already knew that) but unforunitly the front one we gotta drop the tranny
which he charges about $200 or so for which isnt to bad considering I dont have a lift
