I thought I heard someone say that you can't run ovc's with trickflow heads on an lt1, is this true? I can't see why it wouldn't.

Either way, I've had msd's for the last few years but it looks like I should change to magnecore. Is there another brand to consider? I've been told to stay away from taylor's. I don't like the yellow on the accell's. And I think my msd's were on their way out after about 3 years of dd use. What do you suggest?

 

I don't think the wire "care" what they are on. Just a matter of keeping them off the header/exhaust.

 

where are you getting your OTVC magnecors?? I am trying to get a group purchase going in the vendor section... but can't find where to buy them. Fill a botha in!!

 

firebirdstud, I haven't chosen who to buy from just yet, I've only read lately that magnecores are the ones to go with. I do see your post in the gp section.

My initial question though was based on hearing once that someone couldn't use OVC's with trickflow heads which didn't make sense to me then and doesn't now.

 

that is a bunch of b.s. unless they are stupid! The wires mount to the valve cover bolts, and has absolutely nothing to do with the heads. If they got the style that follows the bottom of the head, then I can see where it is a problem, cuz its a different head!

 

I use taylors. I heard a couple people had problems with them, but I have no idea why. Intallation issue? No problem here. Hell I have them on my tahoe too, for close to 50,000 miles with no problems.

 

lol, I know I installed them right... not saying I am perfect, but I have been workin on cars for GM for about 5 years now. But, I am willing to bet some of the issues are install related, but I know for a fact it wasn't my cause.
