Don't know how it happened but it did. Lost every key I had for the Firehawk. The only thing I have left is 1 remote key fob.

Do I go to a GM dealer with the title? Will they even be able to cut me a key with a resistor from a car this old?

Another issue is 2 years ago a t-top got sucked out & destroyed at high speed. So I have 2 different t-tops. Guess I'm gonna have to replace every single key cylinder.

They should be able to cut a key based on the VIN number,happens often.

 

I just went through this back in april. The keys, my only set, vanished into thin air at a motor cycle shop. Kearney mesa Chevy in San Diego can't make old keys, don't even have the blanks, but got me the key codes from the vin. Recommended a key store. He cut me the keys but they didn't work. He knew a locksmith. This locksmith was at a Pontiac dealer for 20 years so he knew what he was doing. He arrived and said I had to get a new ignition switch. At the end of the day, $600 lighter, I had 2 sets of GM keys and a new ignition switch.

Get the codes from GM, hope you have the original ignition switch, call a mobile locksmith. Good luck.

 

Yes I would go to a dealer and change you locks on what you can .The see a locksmith for the rest,
