Vats Ignition

I have a rather annoying problem. The Key situation when I bought my car sucks. I didnt have a door key, so we had one cut by vin. And my igntion key is a Metal Copy with no Vats Pellet. Someone tripped the Fault Code for that so my security light is always on. I had to change the battery a while ago and that was kinda freaky

Anywho I had a VATS Key Made *GM Dealer told me I'm pellet 10* and It refused to turn. The cuts were IDENTICAL to the Knockout key, but wouldnt turn. Didnt know what the deal was but whatever.

Well the other day I had another Vats key made at a more reputable key place. Same Crap!! She said she even Decoded it and it says that the cut is perfectly fine.

Is it binding up on the pellet or something?? Just bugs the crap outta me that I have the right keys and neither one will work Anyone else have this problem?

Your lock cylinder may have been changed from the original. In that case any key you have made for the original is not going to work. I guess you would need to remove the lock cylinder and have it decoded or buy a new lock cylinder and key.

All the vats keys I have are cut identical to the existing key that I use to drive. Its just wierd that the SAME cut doesnt work
