I need a New Radiator Which should i buy ?

Well my radiator is cracked between the trans cooler lines in the plactic end caps on the radiator .

What style should i buy ? Should i buy a OEM from GMPARTSDIRECT or buy a aftermarkt style like this one ? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QRR432399.html

Whats the pro's and con's of going a all alumium aftermarket radator ? Thanks

Cons of an aftermarket radiator is they are a tighter fit. Pros are looks, quality, capacity.

I read somewhere on the net , that because the endcaps are tig welded on and tend to crack at the welds if used as a daily driver . and even if you did use it in a race only set-up you could reweld in easy .

so since my OEM lasted 13 years maybe thats the Con of a aftermarket . might only last 2-5 years on a DD then crack a weld ?

i bought an ebay cheapie for like 49 dollars. guess what happened only 3 weeks later....IT BROKE. just for kicks i poured half a bottle of "bars stop leak" in there and wouldnt you know it... 6 months later its holding water again and working fine. i know im pushing my luck. im probably going to look for an oem used one with low miles on it, hopefuly for next to nothing in price.

My aluminum Griffin has been going strong for more than 7 years. It is a "tight fit", but its a very well-made piece, if you need the extra cooling for a power-adder setup. For stockish applications, the stocker has proven to be fine.
