I am a new camaro owner and need help

I found a V8 lt1 engine with 72k miles on it for $550 and I am going to buy it if i can find a computer and harness. Does anyone know where i can find a cheap wiring harness or computer for the 5.7 v8.

I need help finding a cheap egine harness and computer any help will be thankfull.
Confusing - you found an LT1 in an 86 Camaro? No 3rd Gens had the LT1, so it must be a transplant. What year is the LT1? Make a difference - 93 has major differences from other years, 94 is OBD-I with the unvented Optispark distributor, 95 is OBD-I with the vented Opti, 96/97 is OBD-II with the vented Opti and a different knock sensor.

Then it appears you are abandoning your 93 completely, and using the 95 Z28 for the LT1 install. That make a lot more sense, because you can't just drop an LT1 into the V6 chassis. You would need a new K-member, a different trans and a different driveshaft, plus upgrades on the front springs for the extra weight.

Might want to clarify the year of the engine.

Well the person i talked to told me it came out of an 86 camaro. It is a guy who only sells engines by me. That is the last one he has and it is only the engine no wires tranny or computer but i can get a tranny easliy but i cant find a computer or wiring harness. I have a tight budget but can spend about $300 on the wiring and the computer.

Better double check that it is an LT1.
