i checked the resistance of the CTS this what i got on my DVM i dont really know much of the electrical stuff on this car , but any way i dont think its good, 68.2 C/ 151.5 F/ 260 Ohms i checked compared it with shoeboxs procedure and the numbers looked very low for the resistance this is i can do for now i dont have the money for any scanner i just have money to replace some this parts ,so it looks like i am getting a new CTS but this time i am buying a AC/DELCO CTS so Injuneer what do you think about the numbers that i got oh and i checked the temperatures with a Raytek Mini Temp laser.

Re: Hey i kinda have the same problem

The resistance sounds too low. Should be around 550 ohms. Did you check the sensor resistance with the harness connector disconnected? How did you determine the temp of the coolant was 151*F?

Have you checked to make sure the coolant temp sensor in the water pump housing is showing an accurate temperature?
