Re: Fusible links

When you stand in front of the car facing the fuse box it's the red fuse on the right between the orange and yellow fuse.(10 amps).I think that is what you asked.hope this helps.

Re: Fusible links

The fusible links aren't in the fuse box. They are part of the wires attached to the red plastic "+" terminal box on the passenger side inner fender, near battery. One of those supplies 12V power to the fans. The fuse in the under hood convenience box is for the fan control relays.

From Shoebox:

Maybe Rob knows how to tell them apart.

The 94 factory manual indicates it is 1 sq mm "rust" color (the stripe?? - but they are all labeled as rust???).

Re: Fusible links

You could narrow it down by the size that Injuneer indicated, but you'll really need to use a meter to determine which one it is.

Re: Fusible links

Locate the link wire pair that shares the same terminal and has two "1.0 SQ mm" links. That pair should have one link for the hvac blower and another for the fans. Confirm that by disconnecting all but that pair from the post and seeing if the blower operates. I can't tell you how to determine which of the two is for the fans.

Way to go. Wish they would make them easier to trace.

Fatdog2:

That meter you got will probably have at least one bad probe lead. Every one i have gotten has been able to be easily pulled apart from the probe tip. The only way I know to fix that is 1) buy a pair from somewhere else or 2) cut apart the probe so that you can solder the wire back to the tip, then epoxy the probe back together.
